The Culture Club Sherbrooke - CCS will have an event on the last day of summer this year that is an exciting art project - a world premiere!
CCS will present a new project in the contemporary art world developed by Bruce Barber, Tom Lowe, and Meinhard Pfanner.
It’s called @ha art movement.
@ha supports freedom of the art, without identifying with specific ideologies, politics, religion.
@ha reflects upon the contemporary Zeitgeist (spirit of time) dominated by internet, social media, AI, but still also by conventional media (digital versus analogue).
At this time @ha is supporting 12 artists from Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, China, Switzerland!
On this occasion the first @ha event will exhibit works by
Bruce Barber – Interdisciplinary Artist & Writer from New Zealand,
Bruce Benton – Painter & Musician from Canada,
Tom Lowe - Abstract Painter from Nova Scotia,
Kyle Strongman – Photographer from Nova Scotia,
Friedhelm Wolfrat – Painter from Germany,
Jen Yang – Painter from China.
Bruce Barber will also launch at the event his new book “Popular Modernisms: Art, Cartoons, Comics and Cultural In/Subordination”.
